Cigar Plant Matchless
Ignite your beds, borders and patio containers with this explosive little annual, dripping with tubular, scarlet blooms over many months from summer to fall. The rounded, compact plants also make perfect pot plants for the home. Prefers any ordinary, well-drained soil in full sun or part shade.

Sowing:
Sow February to March. Place seed on the surface of a good seed compost and cover with a sprinkling of compost or vermiculite. Place in a propagator or seal container inside a polythene bag at 68-77F until after germination which takes 7 to 21 days. Do not exclude light, as this helps germination.
Growing:
Transplant seedlings when large enough to handle into trays or 3 inch pots. Grow on in cooler conditions for 10 to 15 days before planting out after all risk of frost, 12 inches apart.
