The colorful mounds of blue-green foliage topped by the nodding, scarlet and white spurred blooms give this Aquilegia an elfin appearance. Add a touch of mischief to your border! CAUTION: Harmful if eaten. [Zone: 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8]
Sowing:
Germinate at 15-20C (60-68F) on the surface of a good free draining, damp seed sowing mix. Place in a propagator or seal container inside a plastic bag until after germination which takes 25-35 days. Do not exclude light at any stage, as this helps germination.
Growing:
Transplant when large enough to handle into 7.5cm (3in) pots and grow on in cool, well lit conditions. Plant out when well grown 30cm (12in) apart in moist well drained soil, sun or part shade, after last frost but at least 8 weeks before first fall frost.
