- Cauliflower Gypsy
-
A particularly useful variety for summer harvest, producing deep, round, white curds and without the pink tinge which can often occur on summer Cauliflowers. Vigorous habit means this variety will also perform well on less fertile soils.
- Growing:
- Overwintered plants and those hardened off from sowings under glass can be transplanted into well prepared, firm soil allowing 24x18 inches between plants. Plant firmly with lower leaves just above soil level. Water until established. Ideally keep netted to deter birds, caterpillar, cabbage fly and cabbage aphid. Transplant outdoor sowings when large enough to handle.
- Aftercare:
- Prefers a well-drained soil in full sun. Harvest late June to August.
