Codnopsis Clematidia
A quite rare and choice plant suitable for a well drained sunny or semi-shaded site in border, rockery or wall. When planted among shrubs will happily scramble through them. Palest blue, nodding, bell shaped 1½ inch blooms, which reveal sumptuous orange and maroon centers when tilled. Flowers summer. Height 2-3 feet.

Sowing:
Sow from spring to mid summer on the surface of a good free draining, soilless compost. Do not exclude light which is beneficial to germination. Keep the soil moist but not wet until germination which takes 7-40 days at 70F.
Growing:
Transplant the seedlings carefully when large enough to handle, into 3 inch pots. Later move to a cold frame and plant out in the fall or spring 12 inches apart into slightly acid, deeply dug, sandy soil in sun or part shade.
Aftercare:
Once established they are best not disturbed.
