Broccoli Premium Crop

Prizewinning heads up to 12 inches across. The tight, blue-green domes last longer than other varieties without opening, with excellent flavor and texture. Produces side shoots after the main head is harvested. The premium broccoli for home gardeners and gourmet specialty growers alike.

Cropping: 58 days to maturity.

Sowing:

For indoor sown seed: Grow on cool and in good light - do not let the plants get pot-bound! As the first true leaves appear, feed weekly with dilute solutions of fertilizer. Gradually acclimatize to outdoor conditions and set out up to 3 weeks prior to the last frost date. Alternatively, sow directly outdoors from spring through early summer in rows 2 feet apart.

Growing:

Plants should ultimately stand 1½ to 2 feet apart in a good garden loam that has been amended with plenty of compost. Mulch to conserve moisture; side-dress through the season with a balanced 5-10-5 fertilizer.

Aftercare:

Harvest when the dome is large and tight. After main head is harvested, continue to water and feed for production of smaller side shoots.
