Pulsatilla Red Cloak
A striking selection from the Cut Petalled Mixture with large flowers of claret-red amongst soft, finely cut silver-green foliage.

Sowing:
Sow February to July in trays, pots, etc of good seed compost in a propagator or warm place to maintain an optimum temperature of 15°C (60F). Surface sow and just cover with vermiculite and exclude light. Germination can take up to 9 months (30-280 days). Trim off any tails from seeds if present. After sowing, seal in a polythene bag and leave at 55-65F pre-chill for 3-6 weeks before returning to specified temperature. Keep the compost moist but not too wet at all times.
Growing:
Transplant seedlings when large enough to handle into 3 inch pots. Grow on in a cold frame and plant out the following spring 12 inches apart.
Aftercare:
Prefers a moist, well drained soil. Plant in full sun.
