- Bellis perennis Tasso Mixed
- The best pomponette bellis ever introduced! Flowers are slightly larger than normal pom-pom types, on compact, short, strong flower stems, that bud up uniformly. The bright colors of rose, deep rose, red and white, will all give excellent garden performance, in containers or borders.
- Sowing:
- Sowing Time: June to September. Sow in pots or trays of moist seed compost and cover with a very fine sprinkling of compost or vermiculite. Keep at a temperature of between 59-68F. After sowing, do not exclude light as this helps germination. Keep the surface of the compost moist but not waterlogged; germination will usually take 7-21 days.
- Growing:
- When large enough to handle, transplant seedlings into 3 inch pots or trays. Gradually acclimatize to outdoor conditions for 10-15 days before planting out after in October for winter flowering, 6 inches apart. For best results, provide a moist, well-drained soil in full sun or part shade.
