Radish April Cross
Also known as Daikon. Produces ice white crisp fleshed cylindrical roots up to 15 inches long and 2 inches in diameter with ice white, crisp flesh. Roots can weigh over 1lb. Slow to bolt from late spring sowings and, ideal for staggered sowings throughout the summer. Great for salads, curries, stews and stirfries.

Type/hardiness: Vegetable; Cropping in 60 Days

Sowing:
Sow thinly, ½in deep in drills 12 inches apart in soil which has been raked to a fine tilth. Sow early spring and fall Zones 2-7, fall and winter Zones 8-10.
Growing:
When large enough to handle, thin out seedlings to 4 inches apart.
Aftercare:
Requires a well-drained, fertile soil.
