Annual Mallow Glacer Fruits
Very useful plant for rapidly filling space in your border, the Malope is a good, bushy plant with large, often 2-3 inch flowers. This special blend shows the great effect achievable with red and pink, along with a catalyst of white.

Height: 24 inches; Type/hardiness: Hardy Annual; Flowers: Summer

Sowing:
Germinate February to April at 68-86F on the surface of a good free draining, damp seed compost. Apply a layer of compost, 1/16 inch deep. Place in a propagator or seal container inside a polythene bag until after germination which usually takes 7-14 days. Do not exclude light at any stage, as this helps germination. Can also be sown direct outdoors in May.
Growing:
Transplant seedlings when large enough to handle into 3 inch pots. Grow on in cooler, well lit conditions. When well grown, acclimatize to outdoor conditions before planting out after all risk of frost, 3 feet apart.
