Sunflower Moonwalker
A variation on the usual tall sunflowers, "Moonwalker" makes tall branching plants from 5-6ft tall with delightful large soft yellow flowers with a contrasting dark center. Excellent back of the border or screening plants. The flowering season can be prolonged by staggered sowings or pinching out the plants at an early stage. Happy in most garden soils and full sun.

Height: 60 inches; Type/hardiness: Hardy Annual; Prefers full sun; Flowers: Summer

Sowing:
Sow spring to early summer outdoors where they are to flower. Prepare the ground well and rake to a fine tilth before sowing. Sow ½ inch deep in rows 18 inches apart.
Growing:
Thin out to 12 inches apart, when large enough to handle.
Aftercare:
They prefer a sunny open site but will grow in most sites and soils. In order to spread the flowering over a longer period make 2 sowings allowing 14 days between them, or pinch out the growing point of some of the plants at the 6 leaf stage.
