California Poppy Apricot Flambe

An exquisite variety with rich, creamy yellow fluted petals tipped with the most intense coral orange edging. From the tightly scrolled buds to the fully open flower this variety is irresistible. A brilliant bicolor at home in any border. Very hardy, easy to grow and free flowering, they make excellent, if short lived, cut flowers. Flowers summer.

Sowing:

Best sown where they are to flower in spring or late summer/early fall for overwintering. Sow 1/8 inch deep in rows 12 inches apart in well cultivated soil which has been raked to a fine tilth.

Growing:

Thin out the seedlings to 6 inches apart. They are very hardy and will grow in the poorest soils preferring full sun.

Aftercare:

For spring/summer flowering pot plants in a cool greenhouse or conservatory sow in late summer/early fall. Grow cool in full light and water sparingly. For cutting, pick when the blooms are still tightly curled.
