Stocks Hot Cakes Mixed

An amazingly versatile stock, producing dwarf bushy plants in a wide color range that flowers in only 10 weeks from sowing. This makes 'Hot Cakes' ideal for sowing in succession, adding its delightful fragrance to spring or fall flowering displays in borders or containers.

Sowing:

Sow seed on the surface of a good, free-draining, damp, seed or multipurpose compost and lightly cover with a sprinkling of vermiculite. Place container in a propagator or seal inside a polythene bag and place at 59-68F until after germination which usually takes 7-21 days.

Growing:

Transplant seedlings when large enough to handle into trays or 3in pots. Gradually acclimatise plants to cooler conditions for a few weeks before planting out after all risk of frost, 12in apart.Note: Plants can be selected for doubleness. Place seedlings for a few days at 40F and the seedlings will change color, only transplant yellow-green/palest seedlings as these will produce 100% double flowers.
