Alyssum Avalanche
For a sweetly scented carpet of snow white flowers, we don't think you'll do better than choose Avalanche. A brand new selection which is vigorous and uniform, starting to flower extra early and continuing throughout the season. Easy to grow and a must for beds, borders and the rockery.

Height: 2½ inches; Type/hardiness: Hardy Annual; Prefers full sun; Flowers: Summer

Sowing:
Sow early spring to early summer outdoors where they are to flower. Prepare the ground well and rake to a fine tilth before sowing. Sow 1/1 6inch deep in rows 12 inches apart. Germination usually takes approximately 21 days.

For earlier flowers they can be sown under glass, germination takes 7-14 days at 65F, pricked out into boxes and planted out when the weather is mild.

Growing:
When large enough to handle thin out to 6 inches apart.
Aftercare:
They prefer asunny open site but will grow in most sites and soils.
