- Zucchini : Parador F1 Hybrid
- Attractive, shiny, golden yellow, cylindrical fruits of excellent flavor. Early maturing and prolific cropping throughout the summer. Adds color to both the kitchen garden or the mixed flower and vegetable border.
- Sowing:
- Sow April to May under glass to transplant outdoors or sow mid-May to early June outdoors. Sow seed 3/4 inch deep in 3 inch pots of good seed compost. Place in a propagator or seal container inside a polythene bag and place at 70-77F until after germination which takes 5-7 days. Can also be sown direct outdoors once the soil has warmed and risk of frost has passed, 1 inch deep at 24 inches apart in rows 24 inches apart.
- Growing:
- Gradually acclimatize plants to outdoor conditions for a few days before planting out after all risk of frost has passed, 24 inches apart each way. Feed with potash fertilizer once fruiting commences. Water and pick fruits regularly.
