Zucchini : Parador F1 Hybrid
Attractive, shiny, golden yellow, cylindrical fruits of excellent flavor. Early maturing and prolific cropping throughout the summer. Adds color to both the kitchen garden or the mixed flower and vegetable border.
Sowing:
Sow April to May under glass to transplant outdoors or sow mid-May to early June outdoors. Sow seed 3/4 inch deep in 3 inch pots of good seed compost. Place in a propagator or seal container inside a polythene bag and place at 70-77F until after germination which takes 5-7 days. Can also be sown direct outdoors once the soil has warmed and risk of frost has passed, 1 inch deep at 24 inches apart in rows 24 inches apart.
Growing:
Gradually acclimatize plants to outdoor conditions for a few days before planting out after all risk of frost has passed, 24 inches apart each way. Feed with potash fertilizer once fruiting commences. Water and pick fruits regularly.
