Sunflower Taiyo
This superb and striking Sunflower was discovered in Japan and boasts huge flowers, one to each plant, 8 -12in across with rich orange-yellow petals and a chocolate-brown center. The single, strong stemmed plants make this variety excellent in the garden and long lasting when used as a cut flower.

Height: 120 inches; Type/hardiness: Hardy Annual; Prefers full sun; Flowers: Summer

Sowing:
Sow spring to early summer outdoors where they are to flower. Prepare the ground well and rake to a fine tilth before sowing. Sow ½ inch deep in rows 18 inches apart.
Growing:
They prefer a sunny open site but will grow in most sites and soils.
