Tomato Roma VF
Semi-Bush (Semi-Determinate). Almost every home has ketchup. Children love it - it goes with so many things and it's very easy to make. Bred for ketchup, tomato juice or soup making. Super Roma is very thick, juicy, nearly seedless and plum shaped with a deliciously different flavor which makes it an excellent variety for eating fresh as well. It's very heavy cropping and disease resistant and can be grown outdoors or in the greenhouse.

Type/hardiness: Vegetable; Cropping in 70 Days

Sowing:
Sow in early spring for greenhouse cultivation or mid spring for outdoor cultivation 6-8 weeks before last expected frost. Sow ¼ inch deep in a good compost. Germination takes 6-14 days at 75F.
Growing:
Transplant the seedlings when large enough to handle into 3 inch pots and when 6-9 inches tall plant out 18 inches apart in a prepared greenhouse border soil, growbag, 9 inch pots or ring culture.

To grow outdoors harden off and plant out after all risk of frost, 18 inches apart in a sunny spot on light, rich, well drained soil. Provide a stake and treat as above.

Aftercare:
Remove side shoots as they appear. This variety stops growing upwards when it has reached about 4 feet. Feed regularly once the first truss has set.
