- Nasturtium majus Whirlybird Cream
- A delicious separate color with creamy butter-milk, semi-double flowers held well above rich green foliage.
- Sowing:
- Sow outdoors in the spring where they are to flower, when the ground becomes workable covering the seed to a depth of 3/4 inch.
For earlier flowering or for containers, sow in early spring at a temperature of 55-60F and transplant into 3 inch pots.
- Growing:
- Thin out the young plants to 6 inches apart when the seedlings are large enough to handle. Gradually acclimatize to outdoor conditions before planting out after all risk of frost. They flower most freely in full sun and poor dryish soils. Before planting in containers make sure they are well rooted in their pots.
