Leek : Blauwgroene herfst-Ardea - Organic

An excellent flavoured fall maturing variety, with exceptional winter hardiness. Very good rust tolerance, which is essential during wetter weather. Producing erect dark green foliage and pure white stems with minimal bulbing.

Bred to give increased Hybrid vigour, garden performance and flavour, thus increasing your harvest. Due to their wide ranging pest and disease resistance, there will be no need for the use of chemicals.

Sowing:

Sowing Time: Mid March to late April. Sow thinly, ½in deep in drills 12in apart in well-drained, fertile soil, which has been raked to a fine tilth. Water ground regularly, especially in dry periods.

Growing:

Transplant when large enough to handle, 8-9in apart, allowing 18in between rows.
