Petunia seeds: Super Cascade Improved

The first fully integrated petunia seed mixture. Best when grown in hanging baskets, containers or walls. The Super Cascades are much freer flowering and will cascade in 8 different colors - blue, white, pink, blush, cerise, salmon, scarlet and violet from a formula blending of seed. Weather tolerance, heat and wet, is excellent, they bloom from planting out to frost and have good drought tolerance.

Sowing:

Sow at 21-27C (70-80F) on the surface of a good seed sowing mix and gently firm down. Keep mix damp but not wet. Do not exclude light, sealing in a plastic after sowing is beneficial. Germination usually takes 10-21 days.

Growing:

When seedlings are large enough to handle, transplant and grow on in cooler conditions. Gradually acclimatize to outdoor conditions for 10-15 days before planting out after all risk of frost, 30cm (12in) apart in a sunny spot on light well drained soil. For pot plants, transplant the seedlings into 7.5cm (3in) pots, grow cool, well ventilated and give plenty of light, but shade from direct sun.

Aftercare:

Our Tip: After planting into their baskets grow in warm conditions, and when established give them a good spray from a watering can. The weight of the water flow will produce a perfect cascading habit.
