Cosmos Sensations Mixed Colors

A superb tall and easy annual with strong colors ranging from white to carmine. Excellent for cutting and make very attractive pot plants for summer flowering in a cold greenhouse.

Sowing:

Sow 1/8 inch deep in spring at 70-75F in a good seed compost. Keep soil damp but not wet, sealing in a polythene bag after sowing is helpful. Germination usually takes 5-10 days.

Growing:

When seedlings are large enough to handle, transplant and grow on in cooler conditions. Gradually acclimatize to outdoor conditions for 10-15 days before planting out after all risk of frost, 24 inches apart in a sunny spot on light well drained soil. For pot plants, transplant the seedlings into 3 inch pots, grow cool, well ventilated and give plenty of light, but shade from direct sun.
