Instructions for Filling & Growing: • - Choose a good, soil-less potting compost. Start to fill the pouch making sure that the corners are firmly filled then add 3 or 4 handfuls of compost and firm. When full, hold the pouch by its handle and tap 3-4 times to settle the compost, then top up so that the compost is halfway between the last two pre-cut slits and the top of the pouch. This space will allow for easier watering. • - When planting, lay the pouch on a flat surface. Make a hole in the compost by placing your finger through the pre-cut slits and insert a young plant, plant plug or bulb in each. After planting up all the holes (there are 10 holes), lift the pouch and tap it to firm the compost around the roots and then place two plants in the top of the pouch. While upright, give the pouch a good soak allowing any surplus water to drain, and then lay on a flat surface for 7-10 days to allow the plants to settle. A good tip when watering initially is to squeeze the bottom of the bag and if water drips out, the pouch contains sufficient water for your plants initially. • - The Flower Pouch can either be hung up or left flat in a greenhouse or well-lit, sheltered place. Choose a site that is sunny and preferably sheltered from strong winds. The Flower Pouch will benefit from regular watering and weekly feeding with a good soluble fertilizer (20-20-20) throughout the season, as well-grown plants are very hungry and thirsty. To encourage longer flowering, remove the flowers regularly as they fade.
